Do I have to believe in God or be Christian to belong to IVI?

God is not a preconceived notion which people must tear each other apart over. God is a process of learning, discovery, experience, a space to open up in each of us and all around us so as to lead a much better life than what we have done so far. Each and every one of us, without exception, is offered this chance. It doesn’t much matter where one comes from. What counts is where one’s heading and by which route. The way is Christ. His message of love, tolerance, compassion, peace and life is aimed at all men, believers or not, Christians or members of other faiths. We just have to work out whether or not learning to love better accords with our own faith or ideas.
