How does the money flow in IVI?
Where does it come from and where does it go?
IVI is a not-for-profit organisation. All its income is used in the running of the association. 95% of this income is raised in the form of membership fees and that same amount is spent on the maintenance of 16 centres in France. The main expenses are rent, community charges, overheads and salaries for a full-time secretary, a part-time accountant and a part-time cleaner. The other 5% covers the production costs of the association’s internal magazine.
IVI is a charitable association. This characteristic is reflected in both its statutes and its spirit. Although there is a range of membership fees, money should not be a barrier to belonging to IVI. The important thing is to open one’s heart. Moreover, members’ activities within the association (welcoming, listening, animating, and harmonising) are undertaken solely on a volunteer basis.
